Position Overview:
The NORTH DAVIS SEWER DISTRICT is accepting applications for the full-time position of Administrative Assistant/Board of Trustees Clerk. Pay range starts at $25.08 per hour depending on experience. Position opened until filled. As a member of our administration team, you will provide administrative support to our employees, perform cashiering, clerical and secretarial duties, and serve the public as the Clerk to our Board of Trustees. Education and Experience:
Education: Graduation from high school or GED.
Minimum experience: 2 years of advanced training in general business, office work or some related field and 4 years of progressively responsible experience performing or an equivalent combination of both.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Thorough knowledge of modern office practices and equipment, personal computer operations and various word processing and accounting applications (Microsoft 365 i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, etc. ERP Pro 10, CMMS, web-based programs); thorough knowledge of bookkeeping practices and procedures; thorough knowledge of office machine and filing systems; effective record keeping documentation and reporting methods; considerable knowledge of inter-personal communication skills; Skill in the operation of computer, data entry equipment and 10 key calculator. Standard business English with accurate grammar, spelling, punctuation, and sentence structure.
Ability to work quickly and accurately with numbers; ability to perform mathematical computations; ability to work under time pressures in meeting deadlines; ability to communicate effectively and verbally and in writing; ability to develop and maintain effectively working relationship with supervisors, professionals, the public, and fellow employees. Strong organizational skills, decision-making skills, and attention to detail.
Special Qualifications:
Must be bondable.
Must be a Notary Public or become one within 6 months of hiring.
Must be able to type at the rate of 60 wpm.
Must possess a valid Utah state driver’s license.
Requires working after regular business hours at least once a month
Must be MS Certified within 12 months of hiring

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Thorough knowledge of technical treatment plant equipment and machinery and its operation, control, maintenance, and repair; thorough knowledge of plant processes; thorough knowledge of hazards and precautions associated with plant operations and processes.
• Thorough knowledge of a wide variety of electronic sensing, monitoring, and controlling devices including pressure, temperature, flow, level, electrical (volt, amp, freq, phase, etc.), gauges, transmitters, probes, RTU’s, RTD’s, etc.
Ability to monitor, maintain, troubleshoot electric motors, Variable Frequency Drives, local control panels, field wiring, and motor starters.
• Ability to use computer and computer systems to monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot plant’s SCADA system.
• Must be able to follow and adhere to all plant safety procedures, and demonstrate good safe work practices when working in all electrical cabinets.
• Good understanding of MS Excel and MS Access.
• Demonstrated ability to be self motivated and be a self starter, taking initiative within job description and authority.
• Demonstrated ability to work with others in a team environment with shared goals and tasks.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
Special Qualifications:
• Must possess a Wastewater Treatment Operator Grade IV Certification or obtain within 3 years.
• Must possess a valid Utah State Driver’s license.
• Must possess a Utah Journeyman’s Electrical license
• Must be willing to work on-call (24 hour), and respond to the plant site within 30 minutes of a call out after hours.
